‘My Hometown’
I’m back to my roots once again. We are in the little town where I was born in 1937. This place feels so comforting. And after this week, how I needed to feel the peace this ‘homeplace’ always brings me.
Around every corner memories, long forgotten, stir…
I see myself, a freckled faced little tomboy, with pigtails flying…racing my bike down the brick streets…skinny legs pumping…laughing into the wind…. fearlessly sailing over the frost heaves. “Catch me if you can!”
