The incessant wind blew us a little farther along Kansas roads…to Wichita. This is a state of lonely landscapes. Mostly grass land and crops and feed lots….But every once in a while you come across fields of giant sunflowers stretching as far as the eye can see! Now THAT’S a sight to behold!
After all time we’ve spend in remote areas of Colorado it was a shock to drive into this big city of 300,000 with it’s traffic and bustling city life.
