ENGLAND !

I have dreamed of going to England for as long as I can remember. And now on the eve of ‘flying off into the wild blue yonder’ I can barely contain myself.05_04_passport

In the dark of the night, though, I worry…The weak dollar is killing us. Our dollar bill is worth about fifty cents over there.

We’ve never flown overseas before and the upcoming hassle of the airport (LAX) is both intimidating and confusing. We’ve opted to be picked up by an airport shuttle and so I worry that they won’t show up on time. (Are you getting the picture here?) They are due to pick us up at 1:30 pm for an 8:45 pm flight. So I worry that we aren’t physically up to that long day.

Because it is a photo tour (seven participants) the equipment that I need (or WANT…hey…how many times will I get to do this?) is daunting and heavy!

I’ve been checking the London weather for a week and it is rain, rain and more RAIN! And more in the forecast.

And then morning comes and I think not of rain but rainbows! And my heart sings.
I will not allow one of these worrisome things to get in the way of holding out my arms and gathering in this experience.

To often in our lives we let fear stand in the way of our dreams. When I was an RN….I discovered that it wasn’t the things my patients had done that caused them pain as their lives grew to an end…it was the things they NEVER did.

So for the next month the web-site will be on ‘hold’. When we get back I’ll give you a day by day report of our ‘great adventure’.

Morning had better come soon…I’m gettng so excited that if we don’t get out of here pretty soon I’m going to be able to fly ‘without’ the plane!
