Moab, Utah Arch View Camp Park

The weather is crazy here. Beautiful day, blue skies, fluffy white clouds and then slowly you could see a dark cloud appearing in the distance and suddenly rain! For 50 feet or so the rain would soak the roadway and us and then we’d drive into the bright skies again! And in the distance other little dark clouds with lightning bolts flashing. They are like clouds with a bad attitude! (Grin)

WOW just doesn’t quite do it. This country we live in is amazing. At the suggestion of the camp owner we drove up to Dead Horse Point in the evening. I wasn’t prepared for the sights we saw…in places it rivals the Grand Canyon! It was so beautiful we just sat and soaked up the beauty as the sun slowly set.Dead-horse-point

People can be so unbelievable. The drop is precipitous to say the least. There are warning signs everywhere and, of course, a railing. We saw a man invite his young daughter to walk out on a narrow ledge for a ‘picture’. She said “Daddy, there’s a bar here”. “Just hop over it dear”! Gulp! She lived and dad got his picture, by the grace of God and blind stupid luck!
