We took a drive up the coast. Near Prairie Creek there were Roosevelt Elk feeding by the road.
There are some large herds in this area. This lady is looking me over about as much as I was looking her over. These critters can be dangerous if they feel threatened.
The foliage is so lush here. The branches of trees are covered with such thick moss they look like velvet. There is a bird nearby that has a single note call, like a bell, that chimes through the forest. But I can never spot him.
