Trinidad may be one of the most beautiful spots in the whole United States. The combination of redwood forest and stunning coastal views is special. We’ve been having so much fun exploring here.
The Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse is a replica of the 1871 original.
There is little fishing pier off to the right in the photo of the harbor. We took a walk out on it and listened to the screams of the gulls. There was a cold breeze out there that grabbed at our breath and whipped our hair around our head.
We walked out to the commercial end of the pier and watched fishermen unload crab pots.
As you drive along the coastline you can spot absolutely deserted little beaches. It takes a hike to get to them but there are little paths and steps here and there. And when you get there it’s ‘your beach’!
