Lambert’s Café in Springfield MO is a ‘not to be missed’ eating experience. I’d venture to guess no one has EVER left this place hungry! The food is good. The portions are gigantic, and then on top of that they have ‘pass around’ bowls of food that the servers are continuously offering you…fried potatoes and onions, black eyed peas, fried okra, tomato and pasta, sorghum molasses and “thowed ” hot rolls. The waiter PITCHES the rolls across the restaurant to who ever wants one! That makes for a lot of wild gyrations and loud laughter!
