When I was young I always thought of my mom as being timid but in truth, the fact she was quiet and gentle didn’t mean she lacked courage. She left the ‘farm’ to make her way in the city at a time when that was thought to be just a bit scandalous. And she met my dad, the daring and dashing young pilot about town, and up and married him even if he was a bit of a rascal! And they loved each other to distraction all their long lives….I’m glad she didn’t listen to the nay sayers who said he was a daredevil and not reliable. Where would I be if she had???
