Poppy Reserve

The Poppy Reserve near Lancaster, CA is always a sight at this time of the year. We picked the wrong day to visit though. A chilly wind was blowing and the flowers had all closed up.

Max

Max is a Salmon-crested cockatoo that very politely says “Hello” to greet you. Although in this shot he does what I do sometimes…he’s just put his foot in his mouth!
